The Goals of the EBCWG are to

  • Advocate for the development of greenway routes to and along the Hutchinson River, Westchester & Pugsley Creeks, with a goal of developing a continuous multi-use (walk, sit, bike, skate, access points) path along the entire length of the waterfront and linking this greenway to existing on and off street routes.
  • Advocate for clean water and to make the waterfront safer for recreation activities in and along the river, including the closure or diversion of all or many of the Combined Sewage Outputs (CSO).
  •  Redeveloping the shoreline to provide natural habitat including the planting of oyster beds.
  •  Advocate for the acquisition of additional properties and the development of additional parkland, if needed.
